Master Builders Apprenticeship Engagement Officer Job Vacancy in ACT

The Master Builders Association of Australian Capital Territory is seeking to employ an Apprenticeship Engagement Officer to provide high quality advice and support to apprentices and employers.

This exciting new role within the leading building industry association is a key part of Master Builders’
commitment to increasing apprentice retention through our Construction Apprenticeship Mentoring Scheme (CAMS). CAMS is a comprehensive national approach to apprenticeship support funded by the Commonwealth Government through the Apprenticeship Mentoring Program.

Apprenticeship Engagement Officers will ideally have experience working with apprentices in a construction trade environment, and will use their outstanding communication skills to deliver practical assistance concerning the apprenticeship system and related workplace and learning issues. As well as providing a point of contact and referral for apprentices and employers, Apprenticeship Engagement Officers will manage a volunteer apprentice mentoring scheme, maintain resource materials, and conduct roadshows at schools and training providers.

This full-time position is available for an initial term to 30 June 2013, with the possibility of extension subject to ongoing Commonwealth Government funding availability. A competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience will be offered to the successful applicant.
