School of Sport and ExercisePalmerston North
The School of Sport and Exercise wishes to recruit an energetic, enterprising team member to research and teach in the discipline of Sport Coaching.
You will be part of Massey’s highly-regarded School of Sport and Exercise, located on the Manawatu Campus in Palmerston North. You will work with a team to design, prepare and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Sport Coaching.
You will ideally possess a PhD or similar in the area of sport coach education, sport coaching science, or sport coaching management. Candidate without a PhD would be expected to have a relevant postgraduate research degree in combination with high level sport coaching qualifications and experience.
Experience in university-level teaching, both internally and also preferably distance education, is a key requirement of this position. You will have demonstrated the potential to work within a team of academics in curriculum development and presentation. It would also be desirable for you to have had some experience in elite sport as an athlete, coach or manager.
A demonstrable research profile, including research publications and ideally successful grant acquisitions, is also a requirement.
