The
Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation in Rwanda is recruiting two (2) Programme
Officers to their newly established office in Kigali.
Job
description
  • The
    Programme Officers have a key role in the programme cycle management of
    the Kvinna till Kvinna Rwanda programme including planning, monitoring
    & evaluation (PME), reporting and follow-up.
  • Providing
    continuous support to partner organisations, capacity building and
    organising experience exchanges, study trips and networking meetings to
    enhance quality programming and implementation;
  • Preparing
    proposals and reports to donors, and making appropriate recommendations on
    the programme’s progress and further development;
  • Providing
    methodological support to operations in the country.
  • Providing
    ongoing input to country context analysis.

Professional
qualifications
  • Preferably
    Master’s degree or equivalent in Gender Studies, Political Science, Law,
    Conflict Studies or related field from a recognized institution;
  • Minimum
    five years of relevant work experience with human rights of women, gender
    equality issues, women’s empowerment, women’s participation and/or peace
    building.
  • In-depth
    experience of project cycle management, planning, monitoring and
    evaluation
  • Proven
    experience of identifying needs and providing capacity building to local
    NGOs;
  • Good
    understanding and practical experience of results based management,
    rights-based approaches, and other key methods of development cooperation
  • Experience
    of working with international donors including narrative and financial
    reporting requirements.
  • Experience
    of the civil society sector in Rwanda.
Personal
qualifications
  • Strong
    analytical skills.
  • Excellent
    written and oral communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda. Ability
    to communicate in French is a strong merit.
  • High
    level of personal integrity and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment
    to Kvinna till Kvinna’s vision and mandate.
Terms
and conditions of employment
Location: Kigali, Rwanda, with
field visits
Type
of Contract: 
Fixed-term
contract, full-time for one year with the possibility of extension.
Starting date as soon as possible. The position is open to residents of
