1. PHARMACIST (1) IN CHARGE OF PHARMACY MANAGEMENT (PUBLIC
SERVANT)
  • Ensuring medicinal products are stored appropriately and
    securely to ensure freshness and potency;
  • Ensuring medication reaches the patient in the correct fom1
    and dose; this may include tablets, capsules, injections, inhalers,
    ointments and creams;
  • Being responsible for accurate dispatch and timely
    distribution of drugs and medicines for inpatients or out patients;
  • Supervising and cross checking the work of inexperienced or
    less experienced and subordinate staffs;
  • Responding to medication-related queries from within the
    hospital or, other Health facilities and the general mass;
  • Keeping up-to-date with, and contributing to the research and
    development part, often collaborating with medical staff and colleagues
    present in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Providing useful information to respective budgets and
    expenses on drugs;
  • Participating in rounds of the ward, taking patient medicine
    histories and participating in the treatment decision-making process
    Liaising with physicians, nurses and other fellow health care
    professionals to ensure the administration of effective, safe drug
    treatment;
  • Counseling patients on the effects, dosage and route of tire
    administering of their medical treatments, especially patients who need
    complex drug treatment;
  • The duty of monitoring step by step aspects of medication
    therapy to improve all aspects of delivery and reporting patient side
    effects;
  • Should Communicate efficiently with relatives of the patient,
    fellow pharmacists, general practitioners, etc;
  • Preparing and quality-checking sterile medications under
    special circumstances (e.g. Intravenous medications for the people who are
    unable to take food, eye-drops, anticancer medication, etc.).

Requirements: AO Degree in
Pharmacy is mandatory, Training on Pharmaco-vigilance, Rational drug use
and on Logistics management of Health commodities, Using LMIS is an added

2. BILLING AND RECOVERY OFFICER (UNDER CONTRACT)
  • Follow debts granted by the hospital daily
  • A log of claims and non-paying daily
  • Ensure cost recovery
  • Provide a monthly report of the creditors of the hospital
  • Follow the creditors of the hospital daily
  • Prepare invoices where street.
  • Check invoices from different departments.
  • Establish customer invoices.
  • In collaboration with department heads, verify the
    consistency between invoices and consumption of drugs and consumables.
Requirements: A1 in Management
Economics, or Accounting Training required, knowledge of Word, Excel and
Access software
3. ANESTHETIST (2)  ( ONE ANESTHETIST (A0)
/
ONE ANESTHETIST (A1) (UNDER CONTRACT)
  • Perform pre-anesthetic and post-anesthetic review for
    patients.
  • Conduct anesthesia as required to ASA I and II patients both
    elective and emergency in all surgical, obstetrics and gynecological
    conditions, cardiac and pediatrics.
  • Assist the consultant anesthetist in providing anesthesia to
    ASA III to ASA V patients and any other as necessary
  • Assist in resuscitation of patients in accident and
    emergency, intensive care unit, all wards and any other area in the
    hospital where such a service will be required
  • Provide regular on-call coverage as stipulated on the on-call
    roster, in collaboration with other anesthetists in the department.
  • Ensure an adequate stock of anesthetic drugs and consumables
    in the operating theatre in liaison with the nursing unit manager of
    theatre and hospital pharmacy.
  • Ensure anesthetic emergency equipment, including ventilators,
    are in good working order and are hygienically maintained. Liaise with
    appropriate departments to ensure this as necessary, i.e. sterilization,
    and maintenance.
  • Participate in education of other staff and students in
    relation to anesthetic services.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, CME activities and
    evaluations as appropriate.

4. PHYSIOTHERAPIST (1) UNDER CONTRACT
  •  Diagnose and manage
    movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities
  • Restore, maintain, and promote not only optimal physical
    function but optimal wellness and fitness and optimal quality of life as
    it relates to movement and health
  • Prevent the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments,
    functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases,
    disorders, conditions, or injuries.
  • As essential participants in the health care delivery system,
    physical therapists assume leadership roles in rehabilitation; in
    prevention, health maintenance, and programs that promote health,
    wellness, and fitness; and in professional and community organizations.
    Physical therapists also play important roles both in developing standards
    for physical therapist practice and in developing health care policy to
    ensure availability, accessibility, and optimal delivery of health care
    services.
  • To establish diagnoses, prognoses, and plans of care,
    physical therapists perform evaluations, synthesizing the examination data
    and determining whether the problems to be addressed are within the scope
    of physical therapist practice.
  • Develop and implement discharge plans.
  • Ensure an adequate stock of anesthetic drugs and consumables
    in the operating theatre in liaison with the nursing unit manager of
    theatre and hospital pharmacy.

6. RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN (1) (UNDER CONTRACT)
  • Ensure good functioning of x-ray machines
  • Must provide radiographic examination of all body parts for
    diagnostic interpretation.
  • Must exercise professional judgment in performance of
    procedures applying principles of radiation protection.
  • Performs diagnostic medical radiography within department and
    other areas.
  • Maintains patient records and files.
  • Assumes responsibility for departmental quality assurance
    program involving the area of radiographs.
  • Pursues continuing education.
  • Transfers patient to and from radiology.
  • Responsible for development of films.
  • He must be able to assume responsibility of department.
  • Rotates shifts as required.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by supervisor.

  • Should be able to work well in situations of stress.

  • Must be able to perform duties in one field outside of
    routine radiography and willing to work outside of modality, i.e.,
    Ultrasound, MRI, C.T., Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography.

 7. HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (1)  (PUBLIC SERVANT)
  •  Identify and regularly
    update the list of hospital staff.
  • The scheduling of watchtowers and annual leave.
  • Participate in developing the plan of human resource
    development
  • Participate in the evaluation of staffing needs based on
    improving the quality of care requirements, national health policy,
    guidelines issued by the Board
  • Participate in decision making related to the recruitment,

8. CHIEF ACCOUNTANT (1) (PUBLIC SERVANT)
  •  Ensure the monitoring
    and recording of revenue and expenditure of the hospital.
  • Perform monthly cash flow report.
  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly estimates,
    half-yearly and annual hospital.
  • Ensure cost accounting fund hospital.
  • Ensure Bank reconciliation.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual report of the
    hospital.
  • Participate in the preparation of regular financial reports
    and the request for the donors and the central level.

9. CHIEF NURSING (1)  (UNDER CONTRACT)
  •  Supervise all
    activities of nursing care in the hospital.
  • Supervise consumption and order management of drugs and
    medical equipment services.
  • Supervise the regularity and quality of health education
    delivered at the services.
  • Supervise the cleanliness of premises and compliance with
    hygiene, asepsis by caregivers’ rules.
  • Participate in the general physician visit.
  • Monitor the application by visiting the instructions issued
    by doctors of service or Director of the Hospital.
  • Participate in the evaluation of performance in
    clinical services
  • Participate in the evaluation of nursing staff.
  • Participate in the development of rotation with the charge of
    human resources management

    Information management:

10. PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
  •  Contribute to the good
    reputation of the hospital in everything and everywhere.
  • Maintain a good social climate between hospital staff and the
    community as well as all clients.
  • Initiate the communication program and the means of
    dissemination actions of the hospital and those of its catchment area for
    the public.
  • Prepare and organize meetings of officials of the hospital
    with the mass media.
  • Establish a system of perception, customer expectations with
    respect to services offered by the hospital and prepare a response plan.
  • Organize the reception of senior officials visiting a hospital
    and wherever the direction that is involved.
  • Ensure customer orientation and other visitors to the
    hospital.
  • Maintain team spirit, understanding and cooperation among all
    hospital staff and clients as well as its public and private partners
  • Exploit the suggestion boxes in collaboration with the
    district team responsible.
  • Organize the host transfer from the health centers of the

NUTRITIONIST (1) (UNDER CONTRACT)
  •  Ensure a good quality
    home in the course of its business.
  • Identify the extent and nature of malnutrition in hospital.
  • Identify patients requiring a specific diet: diabetes,
    hypertension, patients suffering from gastro-intestinal diseases, PHAs….
  • Prescribing and regularly adapt the diet to suit the nature
    and degree of malnutrition diagnosed.
  • Prescribe and fit specific diets to certain diseases:
    diabetes, hypertension, patients with gastro intestinal diseases, PHAs….
  • Supervise the preparation and eating meals.
  • Ensure regular monitoring of nutritional parameters: weight,
    height, arm circumference.
  • Monitoring compliance with hygiene and a sepsis rules in the
    preparation and administration of food.
  • Manage infonnation about its activities (registration,
    monthly repolt).
  • Manage forms required for the smooth rUlming of its business.
  • Manage products; materials needed for the smooth running of
    its business.
  • Manage food stocks (consumption, inventory, needs assessment,
    controls….).
  • Provide health education on nutrition, services and for
    patients seen in reference.
  • Ensure nutritional consultations for patients with specific
    diseases require a special diet.

12. SOCIOLOGIST (1) (UNDER CONTRACT)
  • To identify social cases hospitalized or seen as outpatients
    (interview, home visit…).
  • Fonn of social assistance cases.
  • Conduct the necessary steps to obtain financial support,
    equipment or psychology.
  • Monitor compliance with treatment of socially disadvantaged
    patients.
  • Take the necessary steps to prevent abandonment of care.
  • The social effects of chronic cases
  • To the IEC health to the patient and his family, attend
    health education sessions to other patients seen in hospitals.
  • Participate in the planning of service activities
Requirements: A0 in Sociology.
13. CASHIER (4) UNDER CONTRACT
  •  Fill receipts

15. OPHTHALMIC CLINICAL OFFICERS (OCOS) (5) UNDER CONTRACT
  •  Receiving, taking and
    keeping records of patients
  • Ophthalmic consultation
  • Refraction and prescription of eye glasses
  • Fundoscopy if required
  • Tonometry if required behavior change communication on ocular
    pathologies
  • Prescription of drugs for ophthalmic conditions.
  • Transfer all those who need surgical intervention

16. DRIVER (1) UNDER CONTRACT
  •  Drive any assigned
    vehicles in safe and efficient manner in accordance with Rwandan law and
    Health Builders’ policy;
  • Ensure that staff members are able to move throughout the
    region to fulfill their job, duties;
  • Maintain a log of all trips and mileage accrued;
  • Keep the car clean all the time;
  • Ensure that the vehicle is parked in a safe place at night,
    as determined in consultation with Health Builders management;
  • Ensure repair and regular servicing of the vehicle;
  • Be in charge of collection and delivery of mail;
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by superiors.
