Independence Group NL is a Perth based Mining and Exploration Company whose operations and projects include:
• Lightning Nickel (Ni) which operates the Long Victor underground mining complex situated on the outskirts of Kambalda;
• Jaguar Underground Mine (Zn-Cu-Ag) which operates as an owner miner operation located in the Leonora District of Western Australia;
• Jaguar / Teutonic Bore Exploration Project (VMS – Zn, Cu, Ag) near mine and regional exploration based out of the Jaguar Operation situated in the Western Australian NE goldfields region. The Jaguar underground mine is owner miner and currently produces an annualized rate of 400,000 tpa for treatment and approximately 106,000 tpa of copper and zinc concentrates for sale to overseas markets;
• Bentley Underground Mine: (VMS – Zn, Cu, Ag, Au), located 4.6km from the Jaguar deposit
• Tropicana JV Gold Project (AngloGold Ashanti 70%, IGO 30%) managed by AngloGold Ashanti; and
• Benambra (Stockman) Project (VMS – Zn, Cu, Ag, Au) in the East Gippsland region of NE Victoria within 50km of the Victorian ski fields
The Role
We are seeking applications from experienced BOILERMAKER / WELDER to start work at our Jaguar Operation immediately.
Reporting to the Surface Maintenance Foreman, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of fixed plant and surface infrastructure (The successful applicant will also be required to undertake some underground work).
The successful applicant will have proven ability to perform a wide range of maintenance activities, whilst exhibiting a high regard for safety and teamwork.
You will need to be a trade qualified Boilermaker and have experience working on Fixed Plant, in a workshop environment and on site infrastructure.
We also require you to have you to have a current and valid driver’s licence, senior first aid certificate (highly regarded), working at heights (highly regarded) and experience gained in similar roles. A CN crane ticket would be also highly regarded.
