Computer People are currently recruiting for an IT Vendor Manager to manage a large portfolio of IT vendors, maintain terms and costs, handle telephone and written enquires from potential and existing IT suppliers. Candidates will need to be motivated, and able to handle workloads by themselves as well as working with others in a team.
You will be involved in creating new processes and procedures and implementing these plus managing the procurement process from start to finish. This is a challenging and exciting new role where you have the potential to make a measurable impact in a large organisation.

The right candidate will come from an IT procurement background and be used to frequently speaking on the telephone to various vendors, which requires excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be curious, inquisitive and never satisfied with the status-quo.
Essential Experience Required: –
• Experience in a procurement role, ideally dealing with hardware, software and telephony, and preferably lease agreements
• Experience dealing with multiple vendors across Europe
• Consolidation of contracts across many countries to produce efficiencies and savings
• Budgetary responsibility of over £500,000
