degree by research (Masters or PhD) at RMIT in 2014. Applicants must have

Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
-be an international student, hold an Australian student visa for the term of
the scholarship and comply with the conditions of the visa
-have achieved excellent academic results
-have been offered a place in a higher degree research program at an Australian
RMIT campus commencing in 2014
-have been offered a place that is not conditional on meeting English language
requirements OR provides evidence of English language proficiency and meet the
English language requirement of the HDR program before the closing date of the
scholarship application
-not already hold a research qualification equivalent to an Australian research
doctorate or research masters (if applicable)
-willing to be an ambassador for the Research Scholarships
-be studying in one of RMIT’s areas of research strengths
-Provide details of any external funding for tuition or living expenses that
you have received or applied for.
There are additional eligibility requirements for IPRS which are listed below. You
must:
-be an overseas student as defined in the Act
-meet the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s international student
visa requirements – this includes purchasing and maintaining a standard
Overseas Student Health Cover policy approved by the Commonwealth Government of
Health and Ageing
-meet the Department of Immigration and Citizenship’s international student
visa requirements – this includes purchasing and maintaining a standard
Overseas Student Health Cover policy approved by the Commonwealth Government of
Health and Ageing
-not have held an Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID)
scholarship in the two years before taking up the IPRS
-not be receiving a scholarship for which course tuition is a component under
any other scholarship scheme to which the Australian Government makes a
substantial contribution
-not have previously received an IPRS for a research doctorate unless you are
converting to a research masters degree under paragraph 3.25.15 of
these Guidelines
-not have previously received an IPRS for a research masters degree, unless you
have completed your masters and are immediately undertaking a research
doctorate degree or you have converted your IPRS under paragraph 3.25.15 of
these guidelines.
-be an international student, hold an Australian student visa for the term of
