Geotechnical Engineer job for a leading Consultancy based in either Townsville
or Mackay
A National Engineering Consultancy at the forefront of the Civil and Structural
sector is seeking a Principal / Senior Geotechnic
al Engineer to take the
Geotechnical lead for the Far North QLD area.
Reporting into the State Geotechnical Manager you will lead and drive a small
team to ensure the accurate preparation of designs for Transport Infrastructure
projects with a strong focus on slopes (rock and soil), foundations (pad and
piles), settlements (elastic and plastic) and retaining structures. Drawing for
your expertise you will be responsible for scoping and pricing the geotechnical
components of major projects and be an active member in strategic tender bids.
To be considered for this position you will posses relevant tertiary
qualifications, proven geotechnical experience working on TMR or RMS
infrastructure projects. It is essential that you have strong rock mechanic
design software experience and it will be highly desirable if you are competent
in Slope W/Slide Plaxis/Phase (2D) WALLAP, Dips and Swedge or similar packages.
This role will require you to have your RPEQ but applicants who are eligible
