At Halton Housing Trust we own and manage over 6,ooo high quality affordable homes. With a capital programme of £15m and turnover of £25m per year, we’re also set to invest £39m over the next 5 years in our neighbourhoods and communities.
Our Board of Management works closely with the Executive Management team to make strategic policy decisions, set the budget and monitor company performance. We’re now seeking an Independent Board Member to join us for a three-year term at a very interesting and exciting period in our development as we strive to fully utilise our asset base and develop our wider commercial activities.
We have responded to a number of changes within the housing sector by broadening our focus. Now, as well as building and maintaining homes we will use the income from our commercial activities to invest in neighbourhoods and communities. Your expertise will have a crucial role to play in making our vision become a reality and the successful next steps in the development of our business model.
For this role, we’re looking for someone with:
• Broad private sector business experience including business knowledge and an ability to take a commercial perspective on decision making
• Entrepreneurial skills
• A genuine desire to make a difference in the community.
