Summary

The Green Party of Canada is hiring a Fundraiser Coordinator who will
be primarily responsible for the results-based management of
fundraising and prospect development via direct mail, telemarketing
and events. This will include prospect identification and
solicitation, donor and member solicitation, donor and member
recognition, event fundraising, building electoral district
association fundraising capacity and mailing campaigns. In addition
the Fundraising Coordinator will participate in donor communications
and stewardship.

Requirements

A strong fundraiser is a jack of all trades. As the ideal candidate
you are a strong communicator both written and orally; you have
experience with databases and data quality; you are willing to learn
and work in the rules set for political contributions to federal
parties. You are motivated to grow the Green Party of Canada by
growing its donor base and have knowledge of member recruitment and
maintenance. You are a strong multi-tasker and able to work under the
fast-paced environment of political party work.

A degree in a related discipline or relevant experience is an asset,
however willingness to learn and contribute any relevant skills you
may have is of greater importance.

Proficiency in both official languages is an asset.

Responsibilities:

The Fundraising Coordinator will be primarily responsible for
executing GPC fundraising in the telemarketing, direct mail and events
channels. They will liaise with vendors in each of these channels to
ensure that the fundraising plan is executed on time. They will be
responsible for donor relations through direct contact, responding to
donor requests as well as developing and maintaining a donor
stewardship program. The Fundraising Coordinator will additionally
participate in fundraising copywriting.

Responsibilities include:
• Prospect identification and solicitation in the channels: Direct
Mail and Telemarketing.
• Donor and member solicitation in the channels: Direct Mail and Telemarketing.
• Donor and member recognition (Stewardship program)
• Prospect, donor, and member communication
• Liaise with suppliers for member direct mail and telemarketing programs
• Event fundraising
• Building electoral district association fundraising capacity
• Represent team in fundraising committee meetings
• Contribute team objectives to the party’s Annual Plan
• Update CiviCRM database with address changes, expiry dates and other
personal data for members
• Fulfill all premiums related to donation offers
• Respond to donor emails and requests
• Managing revenue data and uploading to Elections Finance Reports
• Back up reception
