GOOD is seeking a talented Grants Manager Contractor to work for GOOD/Corps and its client on a six-month contract.
GOOD/Corps is working on a high-profile effort to support innovative projects for social good that will push Canada and the world forward. The Grants Manager will contribute to a talented team supporting selected projects with money, exposure & expertise. We are looking for a contractor to begin work on July 1, 2001 with a projected end date of December 30, 2011.
Position and Responsibilities
The Grants Manager will coordinate a responsive, multi-faceted set of resources to help selected projects move from vision to impact. Specifically, this includes customizing grantee support, connecting project winners with external partners, and facilitating community engagement.
Key responsibilities:
• Execute an integrated grants management program that utilizes funding, exposure, and expertise to maximize the impact of selected projects
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact and manage relationships with selected projects, relevant GOOD team members, and external partners
• Identify industry trends and provide leadership on grant management best practices
• Engage in external communications with key philanthropy and cause marketing stakeholders to tell the story of the effort
Experience
• 5+ years experience in the non-profit, foundation, or corporate philanthropy sector
• Experience in an entrepreneurial environment
• Held responsibility for work streams and/or projects involving multiple vendors, contractors
• In-depth understanding of Canadian culture and non-profit sector
• Worked directly with projects or grant recipients to help build capacity & achieve goals
• Bi-lingual French/English a huge plus
