GMP Technologies Global Procurement Manager (IT / Telecommunication) Job Vacancy in Singapore

Responsibilities:
• Take a leadership role to define and build global sourcing & procurement strategy for segments above of indirect spend. Develop and implement appropriate local/regional/global procurement strategies/initiatives for above mentioned indirect spend services
• Organise the whole procurement process for indirect spend services: definition of the needs of your internal clients, organisation of requests for tender, selection of suppliers, negotiation and deployment of contracts
• Ensure cost-efficient sourcing/procurement of products & services with a balanced focus on customer service and cost savings. Identify new trends or innovations for savings, cost avoidance or added value benefits.
• Ensure total cost of ownership approach, including tax benefit through selected sourcing hubs.
• Ensure implementation of results: ensure cross-functional engagement, ensure reporting and target achievement, ensure capability upgrades and talent development
• Support the strategic development of the corporate procurement unit: support department comprising initiatives, analyse/optimise processes, standards and tools, develop best practices/frameworks, ensure the knowledge transfer within unit and outside
• Act as sought partner for company senior procurement team on procurement and related topics in your area of expertise. Drive/provide regional teams support to execute procurement plans for indirect categories
• Support implementation of procurement change initiatives e.g. may be a change agent
• Support the integration of any company acquisition from a procurement perspective
• Support supplier relationship management and contract relationship management

Requirements:
• Applicants must have minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in purchasing role as a buyer of IT & Telecom (Infrastructure, Software, WAN, Hardware, Services), preferably in an international
environment. Here, you have demonstrated category expertise and sourcing/procurement experience. In addition, key attributes requirements include:
• University Degree relevant discipline
• Strong strategic-conceptual thinking: e.g., demonstrated experience in developing best practice procurement processes (from strategy to operations/implementation)
• Understanding of general finance and make/buy analysis. Familiarity with continuous improvement. Understanding of contractual terms and conditions and how to mitigate risk
• Excellent analytic, problem solving, team building, project management, strategic development and change management skills with ability to manage and prioritize multiple
tasks
• Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to interact and collaborate with various levels of people internally and externally, from senior executives to individual contributors
• Understanding and strong commitment to ethical purchasing behaviors
