Overview: The
Follow-up Field Officer is at the front-line of interaction with recipients.
They answer the hotline and resolve recipient’s questions and problems. They
also call recipients to administer follow-up surveys and collect data for the
improvement of the program. Follow-up Field Offic

ers can also be called upon to
assist with ihuriros and audits in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up
    surveys
    :
    call recipients and administer surveys over the phone, and collect data
    which will be used to improve the program and uncover any recipient
    problems. In some cases, the Follow-up Field Officer will be required to
    administer the survey in the field.
  • Hotline
    calls:
    answer
    the phone and respond to recipients’ questions or concerns, and escalate
    any issues as necessary.
  • Resolve
    registration problems:
    for recipients who have not
    registered with mobile money or who have registered with the wrong name,
    call the recipient and provide advice on how to register correctly.
  • Ihuriro:
    explain Give Directly’s program to recipients and non-recipients in a
    village meeting. Answer any questions.
  • Audits:In
    suspicious cases, visit recipient households and administer a survey to
    make the final recommendation if someone is eligible or ineligible.

Follow-up Field
Officers will participate in these activities to varying degrees depending on
the organization’s needs. Follow-up Field Officersmay rotate through these responsibilities
in order to foster professional development and growth.

Required
qualifications:

  • Diploma
    or university degree 
  • Experience
    working in a call center
  • Experience
    using computers for data entry
  • Honesty
    and high standards of integrity
  • Strong
    interest in advancing the distinctive values and mission of GiveDirectly
  • Patience
    and good judgment in resolving recipient problems
  • Working
    proficiency in Kinyarwanda

Preferred
qualifications:

  • Previous
    experience working in the field with vulnerable communities
  • Conversational
    English or French
  • Physical
    fitness and ability to cope with difficult weather conditions or terrain

Compensation and
terms:

  • 274,627
    rwf gross monthly salary and UAP health insurance with 0% co-pay from
    employees
  • Up to
    5% annual raise as well as bonus, and raise in line with inflation rate in
    the country
  • Work
    Monday through Friday with additional compensation for work on Saturday if
    needed
  • Must be
    willing to travel to any of GiveDirectly’s field locations as required
  • Allowances
    provided as needed for travel, airtime, or other reasons
  • Employment
    is subject to police clearance checks
