The successful applicant will be tasked with driving the business forward by instilling a culture of continuous improvement and by providing succinct management information.
This is an extremely broad role that requires the successful applicant to be very ‘hands on’ and provide encouragement and guidance to their team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leadership and management of processing team and oversee daily processing routines
• Ensure that arrears are managed effectively, minimising Bad Debt in the process
• Install rigorous controls and ensure they’re being adhered to
• Lead recovery actions as required, liaising with other departments as required
• Client ledger reconciliations
• Purchase ledger controls and payment processing
• Banking operations as required and liaising with Bank of Scotland (Lloyds)
• Preparation of month end Management Accounts – Trial Balance, Sage input
• Provide analysis and commentary to the Managing Director to support monthly figures and for presentation to the Board.
To be considered for the role you must have a proven track record of managing and training a small finance team, be a strong communicator (verbal, written & face to face) and be a high achiever.
You must also be a part-qualified accountant with recent experience in a similar role. Strong QBE candidates will be considered if they match the criteria outlined under the responsibilities.
