We seek qualified candidates for the position of Prevention/ Capacity Building Specialist in Accra, Ghana.
Position Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the implementation of capacity building and provision of technical assistance to field activities.
• Works directly with partner organizations, communities and other resource users to execute the various activities.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in one of the following or a related field: Anthropology, Behavior Change Communications, Public Health Education, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Community Development, Social or Community Psychology, Public Health and International Communications.
• At least seven years working in HIV/AIDS prevention with at least five years working with MARP populations.
• Able to clearly demonstrate her/his understanding of the current scientific literature and global state of-the-art knowledge in innovative HIV/AIDS prevention programming for MARP populations.
• Responsible for the implementation of capacity building and provision of technical assistance to field activities.
• Understanding of the socio-cultural issues and nuances of working in such communities is highly desirable.
• Considerable experience and technical expertise working with community-based organizations, NGOs, and host-country governments.
• Willingness to undertake regular field visits and interact with different stakeholders;
• Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
• Demonstrated English and French language skills (FS-3 level or higher).
