organisation working with rural communities of Southern Malawi in Relief and

urgently seeking to engage the suitably qualified, motivated capable and
experienced individuals to the vacant position of Project Officer, Project
Technician and a field Monitor for Water and Sanitation Project, This project
is implemented in Machinga and Zomba districts

Provide technical assessment of water points and technical
expertise in the rehabilitation and construction of water pints, Liaise with
local govt personnel for the purpose knowledge and information sharing,
capacity building and planning, Participate in verification, sensitization and
evaluation activities, Communicate with Project Officer as to status of
activities and highlight areas that may require specific attention, Liaise with
local govt personnel for the purpose knowledge and information sharing,
capacity building and planning, Participate in verification, sensitisation and
evaluation activities, Communicate with Project Officer as to status of
activities and highlight areas that may require specific attention, Liaise with
and mobilise community committees and leaders in order to promote the effective
and efficient flow of Project activities, Conduct village sensitizations,
trainings, and water point activities in as required, Verbal and written
reporting for Project Officer and Sector Head, Ensure that field activity
documentation is accurate and up to date, Assist the Project Officer in
planning sector field activities

Diploma in Environmental Science or ground water systems, Previous
experience in water and Sanitation (or related development field), Must hold a
valid Malawian motorbike driver’s licence, Additional training
and/or education in a related field is an added advantage, Understanding of
importance of Project monitoring at community level, Strong organisational and
problems solving skills, Knowledge of Afridev and Malda Pump installation and
repair procedures, Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chichewa
experience in water and Sanitation (or related development field), Must hold a
valid Malawian motorbike driver’s licence, Additional training
and/or education in a related field is an added advantage, Understanding of
