JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Partners In Health, a non-governmental organization, collaborates with the Rwandan government to strengthen primary health care systems in the Eastern and Northern provinces, particularly in Kayonza, Kirehe and Burera districts. Partners in Health would like to recruit outstanding individuals for the following positions:
Job Title: District Project Manager, IMB
Reports to: Country Directors, IMB
Location: Kayonza District, Rwanda
Overall responsibilities:
In collaboration with the District Clinical Director (DCD), the District Project Manager (DPM) will oversee the implementation of all IMB activities in Kayonza District with guidance and supervision of the Country Directors and the senior managers. He/she will provide critical management and administrative support, participate in the development and implementation of operational plans, and work closely with the finance department to ensure activities are carried out within the budget. The DPM is the primary representative of IMB with district authorities to ensure all activities are in line with national and local priorities.
Primary Responsibilities:
– Live and work in Kayonza District to provide ongoing daily project management in areas including but not limited to; finance, procurement, human resources, planning, visitor management, and overall program implementation;
– Serve as the IMB representative and primary point of contact for District authorities, and other local partners and government authorities in the district;
– Work with partners in local government and health facilities to develop work plans and strategies together in close partnership;
– Work with cross-site program managers to ensure that all IMB interventions are coordinated across District and are in line with the Government of Rwanda and the Ministry of Health’s plans;
– Serve on the IMB Executive Committee to participate in organization-wide policy, resource allocation and human resource decisions
General requirements:
– At least a bachelors degree in Management or related field
– 3 years experience working management positions, experience of working in an NGO will be an added advantage.
– Must be willing to live in or near the working region
– Proficiency in English, French and Kinyarwanda
– Computer skills needed
