Objective of this position is to conduct ongoing repairs, plant upgrade and
preventative maintenance to maintain plan equipment consisting of light
vehicles, power generating sets, mobile plant and machinery and diesel pumping
sets in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production targets
Attend daily planned meetings and weekly toolbox meetings with Supervisor,
Attend to equipment in the execution of the weekly workplan, Attend workshop
facilities and tooling, ensuring proper housekeeping is performed, tooling is
secured, accounted for, maintained and replaced as required, Prioritise
resources and coordinate all unplanned work that arises over the course of the
week, monitor breakdown to planned work ratio to ensure compliance to the
KPI, Supply feedback on completed work, included root cause analysis,
fault finding history data and work that is forthcoming to the Supervisor,
Ensure that the efficiency, effectiveness and performances of maintenance
strategies are communicated to the Supervisor, Identify CI projects, Ensure
that performance and cost targets are met as directed by the supervisor, Report
near misses, incidents as they occur, Conduct FLRA prior commencing job, Be
vigilant of company assets, monitor, report and action
through the appropriate procedures, activities that result in the loss, misuse
or misappropriation of company assets, Implementation and execution of ll tasks
and instruction as instructed by superiors, The primary role is to manage daily
equipment repairs, while adhering to safe work
Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanics from a recognised institution, Minimum of
5 yrs relevant experience on mobile equipment, light vehicles, generating sets,
diesel pumping equipment, must be fully conversant with and knowledgeable with
diesel engines, able to strip and rebuild, Ability to receive problems relating
to mechanical failure and give immediate corrective actions, Knowledge of
machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance,
Strong regard for processes and policies compliance, Tyre care, maintenance,
rotations and repairs
