POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the
Director, Wireless Network Services – R&D, the Senior Software Developer –
Mobile will be a key member of the mobile development team whose primary
responsibility will be to manage the design of mobile products and their
interaction with server side. The candidate will work in a fast-paced work
environment focused on delivering critical features involving leading-edge web
technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your
responsibilities will be situated in the following domains:
•Author and/or review Functional Requirement Documentation.
•Coach your fellow team members in delivering world-class mobile applications.
•Ensure that the mobile application designs and work-flows meet industry
standards and expectations.
•Promote design choices favoring sustainability on different hardware
platforms.
•Communicate product releases to the Customer Support and Implementation teams,
investigating customer issues.
•Train the support/services team on the functionality of the product.
•Provide clarification/support for compliancy across Telematics industry needs
(hours of service, driver score card, asset utilization).
•Participate in the cross-platform development of the Mobile Application (C#)
for Android, Windows Embedded 8, iOS and Windows Phone 8.
•Provide ongoing support of existing mobile and network applications.
QUALIFICATIONS
•University degree
in Computer Science/Engineering.
•Minimum 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with strong knowledge of
developing applications in .NET, and Java frameworks.
•Excellent communication and documentation skill with good experience in
writing requirements, design and use case documents.
•Strong C# knowledge.
•Strong knowledge of XML, web services.
•Strong knowledge of user interface development for mobile.
•Experience in developing optimized applications for mobile.
•Problem solving and critical thinking ability.
•Ability to work well under pressure, meet strict deadlines and communicate
well with others.
•Must have the flexibility to work varied hours as required.
