We are financial sector development organization, funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; with a focus on promoting financial inclusion in Nigeria. As a result of the successful growth of its organization, our client is seeking professionals and subject matter specialists to fill the positions below:

Job Vacancy: Research and Development Manager (Ref: M01)
The role ensures clarity and relevance of initiatives by making available credible information on market developments and imperatives in the Nigerian financial sector for use by internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:
Prepares engagement contracts and service level agreements tor research partners and consultants
Prepares assessment reports of research partners/ consultants www.nigeriabestjobs.com
Issues terms of reference for various requests for proposals
Analyses and presents research findings
Develops and implements research strategies in line with the organisation’s operational
Manages research projects and market research firms
Designs qualitative and quantitative methodologies for conducting research financial sector issues

Education and Experience
Applicant should have a Post Graduate degree (M.sc, Ph.D) degree in Statistics, Economics, International Development or related field
Minimum of 8 years work experience, of which 5 years must have been in conducting research
Familiarity with Banking, Microfinance and access to finance issues will be an advantage.

Job Vacancy: Finance Manager (Ref: M02)
The role ensures the successful management of the finance and accounting operation.
Assists in the development and maintenance of sound financial controls in the organization
Prepares comprehensive and timely financial and information including tax, cash flow and statutory accounts for the organization
Maintains on-going liaisons with relevant external bodies/contracts e.g regulatory organizations, auditors, solicitors, donors, grantees, banks, etc
Prepares budget variance reports.
Formulates and implements financial policies and processes in compliance with accepted accounting practices and applicable statutes.
Develops the organisation’s annual plans, budgets and financial performance metrics
Develops and updates financial guidelines

Education and Experience
Applicant must have first degree in Accounting , Finance or Economics with a professional certificate ACA
Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, of which 2 years must have been in audit
Work experience in the big 4 auditing firms/exposure to international accounting best practice is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies
Good at working under time pressure and able to solve complex financial problems.
The person must be self-motivated, diligent, and must demonstrate strong analytical skills, leadership and the ability to communicate effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. In addition, competence in the use of Tally 9 accounting software is required.
