Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers our Bank with an efficient, nimble, scalable standard infrastructure through a strategic focus on Productivity, Quality & Control, Operating Models, Technology and People. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank’s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities:
• Involvement in the equities and structured product transaction processing lifecycle from the trade pre-match phase to the final phase of the settlement of the trades
• This is done by the sub-custodian and the booking of the settled cash and securities in the client accounts
• Involvement in PB new initiatives implementation (products and services)
• Following up of settlement issues and discrepancy resolution. Escalation point for process issues and errors
• Trade funding reporting
• Reconciliation of cash and securities
• Updating of daily operation risk metrics
• Accountability for effective and standard operational processes
• Accountability for improving and maintaining a controlled environment (e.g. necessary controls activities along process flow implemented, appropriate control tools in place, team members fully understand risks and related controls)
• Building and the maintenance of strong partnership relationships with Business and other support teams
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a Private Banking environment
• Demonstrated strong product knowledge and a thorough understanding of transaction lifecycles
• Supervisory experience with strong risk awareness and leadership skills
• Organizational skills and resilience – ability to handle pressure in high workload situations, prioritizing effectively and delivering against deadlines
• Initiative – high level of self-motivation, ability to take responsibility for tasks and manage team workload
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills including taking the initiative to drive process improvement changes
