programmes in a number of different areas, but presently focusing mainly in 2:

our newly developed country programme to the next level, The position is based
in Lilongwe but some travel inside Mal

We can offer a 3 yr contract according to terms
and conditions for DCA personnel aiming at starting 1st April
2016 or soon thereafter
Professional qualification – relevant Masters Degree
You
have experience with the main principles in the 2 areas of intervention, rights
based approach, HAP principles, gender mainstreaming and you must be able to
apply and demonstrate strong management and leadership principles and skills in
your relations with team members, colleagues and partners, You have practical
experience from implementation of programmes, projects, partner relations,
leadership and team management
You must be familiar with the procedures and
contractual conditions applied by international donors, Knowledge on DCA
procedures desirable, You will participate in various ACT and INGO coordination
for a and represent DCA in meetings with stakeholders from the govt, UN
agencies and NGOs/INGOs
You are responsible for the overall supervision
of DCA’s programmes and partners, This includes planning, quality assurance,
monitoring and reporting in accordance with DCA;s procedures, as head of the
Programme Committee you will apply a participatory approach to development and
assessment of partner programme/projects in close cooperation with your team
members and other relevant DCA staff, in the coming years, we will focus on
strong partnerships with selected few partners and it will be your
responsibility to drive this process together with the Programme Team in close
cooperation with the Country Director, another key focus is to ensure synergies
between the different programme components and between partners within the
Country Programme
You are directly line managing a team of 4-6
Programme staff, You are responsible for the implementation of the country
programme, You will be a member of the small Management Team, which consists of
Country Director, Head of Finance and Head of Programme, we expect you to take
part in decision-making processes and strategic planning of the programme
