Cystitis/ urethritis

Infection confined to the urethra are
characterized by painful urination (Dysuria) and discharge of mucoid or
purulent material from the urethra orifice. Symptom of cystitis includes
painful urination (dysuria), frequent voiding and frequent call to toilet are
similar to those of urethritis, which is associated with sexually transmitted
agent. Cystitis is caused by multiplication of enteric baetreial in the bladder
of urine.it is clinically distinguished from urethritis by more acute onset of
severe symptoms,the presence of bacterial and in half cases haematuria.the
urine is often cloudy and maloduraus and occasionally bloody. Unlike patient
with urethritis those with cystitis often experience pain and tenderness of the
super-pubic area (Hanson,2004).
