As a Young Person’s Pathway Community Safety Coordinator you will work specifically with accommodation schemes for young people aged 16-21 in the London borough of Camden. You will liaise with providers and other stakeholders and help facilitate a partnership approach to the implementation of agreed policy in the management of ASB, helping to address community safety concerns and reduce the fear of crime.
The post forms part of the Safer Streets Team which works to reduce rough sleeping and other forms of street activity and nuisance behaviour in the Borough of Camden through assertive outreach, needs assessment, access to emergency accommodation, advice, treatment and assistance.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working with young people, and a good understanding of the statutory duties surrounding looked after young people. You will need a positive, flexible approach to the work, have excellent partnership working skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure. You will need excellent communication skills and an understanding of Community Safety issues and Anti social behaviour legislation.
