Our client is an independent mining company mainly focused on project delivery in mining and minerals developments in Africa and the Asian region. They are currently seeking the services of a Country Manager to focus on project identification and development to investment
The Position
This residential role commences in the 4th quarter this year and will work within a partnership to investigate a number of very good mining and mineral projects in the area. This role will act as Project Director for the early phase concept and feasibility studies.
Key accountabilities will include:
• Client and government relationship management skills
• Strategic development, planning and budgeting
• Strong Business Development capabilities
• Internal and external relationships.
• Understand and implement project management techniques at a well developed level
• Development of a strong project execution and delivery team
• Continuous improvement and application of best practices
• Ensuring that all activity on the project complies with the Company’s HS&E management systems
Qualifications and Experience
• Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or related field from an accredited University
• Must have at Project Director level/ MD level and at least 20 years experience in the mining industry
• Experience in moving projects to bankable stages in overseas locations.
• African cultural adaptability.
