Manager – Research Support Centre (RSCI) – College of Medicine
Postgraduate Qualification in a health or health-related discipline, Minimum of
2 yrs experience with grant writing, Previous experience
with fund raising,
Experience working in deadline-driven tasks, Able to work well in a team
environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines, Able to monitor
and meet team goals
Strong written communication skills, ability to write clear, structured,
articulate and persuasive proposal, Strong editing skills, Attention to detail,
Ability to work effectively in environment with quickly changing priorities and
deadlines, Knowledge of fundraising information sources, Experience with
proposal writing and research funders, Knowledge of basic fundraising
techniques and strategies, Knowledge and familiarity with research methods,
Strong contributor in team environments, Knowledge of computer applications
e.g. Microsoft suite and knowledge in information dissemination technology e.g.
grants.gov, sponsor’s websites, Skills in management an interpersonal
relations, Leadership skills, Proven track record of generating original
search
Stimulate a research culture among junior faculty and students through the
sound management and delivery of research training programmes, Ensure effective
and efficient packaging and dissemination of CoM research activities and
results to scientific community and policy makers, Assisting the RSC Director
in identifying and coordinating income-generating activities on behalf of the
Com, Provide oversight to the Data Management Unit, Clinical Trials Unit and
Information Unit of eh RSC to ensure that they are implementing in accordance
with their annual and monthly workplan, Assist in teaching and research
supervision activities in a relevant dept
