The Churchill Northern Studies Centre (CNSC) requires a camp cook from February
12 – March 3, 2012 with the possibility of further work starting in mid-May
through mid-November. The March 3rd date may also be extended for a week or
two.
During winter programming, the CNSC culinary staff is responsible for the
operation of a cafeteria serving 3 buffet style meals to groups ranging in size
from 10-35 people, menu planning, ordering, inventory management and the
supervision of kitchen helpers.
Salary range for this position is from $17.47 – $19.65/hour, depending on
experience plus 4% vacation pay for 48 hours/week. Economy train travel from
Winnipeg to Churchill also included. Room and board, if required, is available
at the Centre for $435/month (about $14.50/day). Flexible scheduling and split
shifts will be required. Preference given to those individuals with experience
in remote camp situations.

outside of Churchill, Manitoba. The CNSC moved into a brand new facility in

large new kitchen/cafeteria. The CNSC provides accommodations and logistic
services to scientific researchers, university courses, school groups,
independent tour groups and educational programming to visitors from all over
the world.
