Job Description:
– Evaluate well design alternatives to provide auditable design basis for chosen development plans.
– Perform Drilling Engineering functions.
– Challenge all well designs as part of a peer review process.
– Direct overall well planning operations and in doing so serve as an Operational Excellence Champion.
– Focus on the leading indicators of safety and well construction.
– Provide mentoring to newly hired engineers.
Required Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of Second Class Upper Division.
Required Skills:
– Mastery of Wellview Drilling and Database Application
– Demonstrable knowledge of well planning softwares
– Good planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
– Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
– Effective communication skills
Experience
– Minimum of Five (5) years relevant post degree work experience as a Drilling and Well Design Engineer (includes National Youth Service)
