Canadian Clean Energy Conferences is a B2B conference producer that
focuses on the renewable energy sector. Operating since 2009 we
produce world class business conferences that aim to create project
opportunities for the renewable energy industry.
Last year we launched a conference series that aims to help the mining
sector use alternative energy to power their operations. After very
successful events in Toronto
and Johannesburg we are focusing on
developing a summit for the South America market and aim to hold an
event in Santiago, Chile in February 2015. Details of our company and

We are looking to hire a Spanish speaking researcher/ producer who
will help create another successful event. The successful candidate
will take the lead on producing the conference agenda for our first
South American event.
The person taking on this role must be able to demonstrate the following:
• Excellent and confident research skills particularly through phone
research – you will have to research and interview up to 80 industry
players from across the market in North and South America in English
and in Spanish.
• Excellent communication skills. You need to be able to communicate
in English and Spanish to experts and very senior figures in the
renewables and mining sectors. You will be writing copy for websites,
invitation letters, promotional flyers etc.
• Good business and market sense. We need you to be able to quickly
grasp what is important for this sector and its constituents. Who are
the significant players, what is the business critical market
information they need, what are the barriers and opportunities.
• The minimum qualification is degree level. Preference will be given
to those with higher, research-based degrees
You will work closely with our team of four from our office in Ottawa.
You will need to be contentious and self-motivated. You will need to
be able to both take instructions and show initiative. The role is for
an initial 4-month period but could lead to a full-time position for
the right candidate. In 2015 we expect to produce events in Canada,
South Africa, Chile and Australia.
We have a welcoming office space in downtown Ottawa. Our team
comprises young (ish) professionals with a passion for good quality
events that are both financially and ethically driven. We make money
by doing good. The work is challenging but rewarding. Your salary will
be $40,000 pro rata.
