Early Childhood Centre & Preschool is a non-profit, 70
place, community oriented long day care service, on the grounds of Calvary
Hospital, Bruce. Our service has been assessed under the National Quality
Framework and is “Working Towards” the National Quality
Standard.

PRESCHOOL
SENIOR EDUCATOR / EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

$60,000-$63,500 p/a
based on qualifications and experience

37.5 Hours per
week, (Mon to Fri)

We require a
passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Professional to lead our Preschool
Team. Our Preschool caters for 24 children each day aged 3 to 6 years
with 5 full-time educators.

The right applicant
will have:

• A
  minimum of 2 years experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher or
  Senior Educator in a Long Day Care setting, (with a similar age group),
• A
  Bachelor of Education, (Early Childhood), OR a Diploma of Early Childhood
  Education AND demonstrated progression towards a 4 year Bachelor of
  Education, (Early Childhood), AND a commitment to completion by 2018,
• A
  Certified Supervisors Certificate, Senior First Aid, Asthma and
  Anaphylaxis Certificates

AND

• Be dedicated
  to providing excellent leadership and management to our team, quality
  education, care, respect, kindness and understanding of our families and
  their unique needs as well as an ongoing commitment to increasing the
  profile and professionalism of the education and care sector, specifically
  in relation to long day care.

The centre is open
from 6:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. You must be available to work during
these times, HOWEVER your shifts will typically be 7:30am-4:00pm or
9:30am-6:00pm on a weekly rotation with the Assistant Senior Educator.

Part-time
hours may be negotiated for the right person. Please detail in your
cover letter what work arrangement you are seeking so this can be
considered/negotiated.
 
Position is available immediately, however commencement date is negotiable.

Position is subject to a successful Working with Vulnerable People
Check.
