Are you a student in the agricultural field but don’t have a field to apply
what you are learning?
Breezy Bay Farm, is located on Saturna Island, the most southern of the Gulf
Islands in British Columbia. We have owned the farm for over 30 years and have
been dedicated to preserving and organically farming this unique heritage
property. The farm lies in a valley nestled between coastal forests and is
ideally suited to growing herbs. We have been Certified Organic since 1999.
Mainly we grow culinary herbs and have a productive fresh herb business. We
also raise a few beef animals and have two small orchards. There is a large,
irrigated garden space available.
We are looking for a couple or two young persons for the period from May to
September of 2012, who would like the space to apply what they have been
learning and would also like hands on experience by helping to run a farm/herb
business. We offer room and board and 50 acres of established farm plus
unlimited access to the most beautiful and unspoiled of the Gulf Islands.
