Boko Haram regrouping to launch a major attack in Northern Bornu State

There have been various reports by fishermen and farmers at the Northern Bornu State of an impending major attack by Boko Haram as they have been seen regrouping in some of the islands in the region to launch as a major attack on the residents in the area.

From the reports reaching us, the largest fishing hub, Baga town which was attacked in 2013 that resulted to the death of several people is likely to be the first to be hit by the planned attacks. After the 2013 attack, Baga town has speedily recovered to become one of the most prosperous towns in the locality and another attack on them will lead to a major setback to the progress made so far. From the body language of the fighters of the Boko Haram terrorist groups, it is almost obvious that they have perfected their strategies for the attack and they are just waiting for the right time to strike.

Fighters of the Boko Haram terrorist group are reportedly seen roaming along the shores of the Dogon Chukun and Doron Naira where they are currently camped in large numbers.

The return of the Boko Haram terrorist group is as a result of the withdrawal of the military from some of the area after they were attacked last month by Boko Haram terrorist group which leave the communities in the region vulnerable to possible attacks by Boko Haram. The Boko Haram terrorist group have taken advantage of the absence of the military in the area to push for more territory and to plan a possible offensive attack on the people in the area.

Unverified reports show that other communities that may likely be attacked by Boko Haram terrorist group apart from Baga town include; Mil90, Gashigar, Mil4, Zari, Kuroskauwa, Granda, Mainari, Gudumbari, Mairari, Kukawa, Birmari, Arge, Jilli, Metele, Kangarwa and Alagarnon arewa.
