Degree in Accounting and Chartered Accountant with
ACCA, CIMA or other recognised institutions, Membership to the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM), At least 5 yrs of experience at finance
Manager level in a business setting, Working experience with Microsoft Office
packages and Computerised Accounting software packages, Excellent communication
skills with wide range of people, Excellent quality attention to detail, and
organisational skills, Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, A
practising Christian with a proven record of involvement in their Church
activities and projects
the Accountant will be responsible for ensuring proper accounting record
keeping and financial reporting for the institution
accounting ledgers, bank and debtors reconciliations, Providing required and
other pertinent financial information and analysis to the Finance Manager,
Assisting in Budget preparation and assisting in Budget Control by ensuring
that all requisitions are within budget and explaining financial matters to
manager, Preparing audit schedules and oversees all required financial
documents for annual audit and also working with auditors throughout the
process, Preparing and reviewing appropriate financial statements and
accounting records, Supervising accounts personnel, Reviewing requisitions
before approval is made by the Finance Manager, Assisting the Finance Manager
in preparing monthly management accounts, with major variance well analysed for
proper decision making purposes, Ensuring that stock records are properly
reconciled and maintained
3 yrs of experience or Diploma in Accounting with at least 5yrs of experience
at an Accountant level in a business setting, Working experience with
computerised accounting software packages, A practicing Christian with a proven
record of involvement in their Church activities
