Senior Finance Officer
Degree in Accountancy from a
recognised institution or an equivalent professional qualification, Minimum of
5 yrs experience in a related field, A good understanding of international
Financial Reporting Standards and USAID funded projects, Must be computer
literate with high proficiency in sp
readsheets, Knowledge of QuickBooks will be
an added advantage, Self starter and ability to work under very minimal
supervision, Excellent communication skills
Coordinate the preparation and
implementation of annual audits with Program key personnel, Contribute to team
effort by accomplishing related results as required, Prepare and maintain
accurate payroll records in accordance with Malawi Government rules and
regulations, Monitor program Bank accounts, take corrective action as required
and as recommended by auditors and management if necessary, Receive and
consolidate financial reports for submission to USAID and PIH, Prepare, examine
and anaylse financial records and related reports to assess accuracy,
completeness and compliance to reporting standards and procedures, Develop,
administer, modify and document record keeping and accounting systems in line
with the BCM-CFM financial accounting procedures and other best practices,
Prepare periodic reports against budget and actual costs, monitoring project
funds and advising the Deputy Program Director on variances and trends from
time to time, Prepare and analyse advance requests, Provide oversight to the
Finance Team
