are looking for a top class Business Controller for Atlas Copco Ghana Limited.
The position will report to the General Manager and will play a key role in the
management team, in leading the finance department, controlling and guiding
company’s financial results, forecasting, analysis, and providing support to
the General Manager and other departments. The Business Controller is
responsible to make sure that “The Way We Do Things” is followed in all
aspects. The most important responsibilities are the following:- Make sure that
the future direction of the company, expressed in mission, vision, strategies,
goals and targets, is reflected in the planning process. Be a key player in the
new planning process.- Make sure that the management has well documented action
plans to support the strategy and that plans for corrective actions exists if
there are deviations from agreed plans.- Make sure that leading business
indicators and highlights/red flags are produced to support management in
steering the business. Furthermore, to closely follow up the development of the
company versus trends and analyze deviations from agreed plans.- Initiate and
run benchmarking and leading practice projects in order to learn from others
and improve processes.- Participate in various projects and internal audits
within the Group.- Secure that solid asset management procedures are in place,
safeguarding that the company operates with a minimum of capital tied up.-
Safeguard that the accounting is in accordance with the local statutory
accounting practices and that monthly and quarterly group reports are correct,
complete and on time.- Ensure that financial reporting and accounting matters
are in accordance with “The Way.”- Make sure that appropriate risk awareness
and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal
auditors get necessary support.- Build strong working relationships with
internal and external customers.- Raise “red flags” to management whenever
compliance with sound business principles is at risk.- Actively participate in
customer center activities which include strategic planning, people management,
regional and local business development- Foster the Atlas Copco attitude within
your team and workplace and continuously develop the personnel under your
responsibility- Work actively with ACBS in developing and implementing standard
group processes and systems.- Develop, refine and support administrative and
operational policies and procedures for the company.- Train and support the
organization in financial understandingSome travel is required in Ghana,
neighboring countries as well as Product Company visits abroad.

requirements
Minimum of five years of business controlling and/or financial management
experience – Proven performance in managing and working in teams effectively –
Prior experience in a customer center environment preferred – International
experience preferred
computer skills including thorough knowledge of BPCS – SAP (or other ERP
systems), GPS, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office suite
requirements
or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting strongly preferred. MBA is a plus.
