The area of the study is Nsukwa community. It is
located in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State. The community is
bounded in the North by Adonte, in the South by Ossissa, in the West by Ejeme-Unor
and in the East by Ishiagu. Nsukwa is subdivides into six quarters, namely; Umulagwu
quarter, Okenu quarter, Ogbe-Onicha quarter, Ikokogbe quarters, Umuoma quarter
and Eziobodo quarter. The main occupation of the people is farming. The
community has one government owned primary and one government owned secondary
schools, and several privately owned schools. Most people in the community are
Christians and the language spoken is Enuani dialect of the Igbo
language family.
