The overall objectives of the position are to
ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, reliability and
improvement of all process control, instrumentation, electrical and electronic
plant and pipeline equipment and maintenance of mechanical equipment for
transmission pipeline systems under management by APA Group to meet customer
requirements.

Specific accountabilities of this role include but

- Plan, organise and carry out routine and
non-routine maintenance for communications/telemetry systems - Install, commission, test, calibrate, monitor,
fault find and diagnose, repair, maintain, overhaul and service process
control, instrumentation and electrical plant and equipment - Undertake problem solving in the rectification
of system faults, utilising historical data and testing equipment to
diagnose and formulate solutions to technical issues - Undertake routine programming of RTU, process
control and instrumentation equipment as per the company work program; - Install new equipment and equipment
modifications to enhance operational effectiveness and meet customer
requirements ensuring compliance to standards: - Complete all relevant documentation for all work
activities to ensure effective equipment histories and maintenance
records;
To be successful in this role, it’s expected that
you demonstrate the following:

- Electrical Trade Qualifications.
- Instrumentation / Electronics certificate.
- 2 years’ experience as a qualified electrical
tradesperson, hold a current electrical authorisation, with
instrumentation experience. - 2 – 3 Years work experience in oil & gas
or related industry desirable. - Experience in process control/instrumentation
is mandatory and SCADA systems preferred. - Ability to program, install and commission
process control equipment and detailed understanding of operating
conditions is preferred. - Competence and hazard awareness within an
industrial process industry an advantage. - Ability to competently use relevant computer
applications to analyse data, troubleshoot and provide reports in DOS and
Windows based applications. - A high degree of self-motivation, with an
ability to work unsupervised. - Good interpersonal skills to communicate to
all levels of the organisation. - Attention to detail and methodical approach to
work.
Special Requirements
- Current manual driver’s licence.
- Required to travel extensively.
- On call and regular overtime.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Work is generally undertaken autonomously and
in remote locations.
