Animals Asia, an
international animal charity, is devoted to ending the barbaric practice of
bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals in China and Vietnam. We
promote compassion and respect for all animals and work to bring about
long-term change.
We are seeking an
experienced and skilled Director to lead our strategic development in the
Canadian market.
We currently have
fundraising teams in sev
en international markets: Hong Kong, England, Germany,
Australia, Italy, China and the US. Animals Asia has exciting plans for global
expansion and is searching for a passionate fundraiser to join our
international team. Our objective is to grow our presence in the Canadian
market by predominately focusing on major gift individuals. Our long term goal
is to grow the team and establish an office base.
The full-time
position will begin as a single home-based role (with part time administrative
support); however, we have significant plans to grow and invest in the Canadian
market over the coming years. As a credible expert in your field, you will play
a pivotal role as part of Animals Asia’s senior management team. We are looking
for a self-starter who can drive performance in the market.
This is a great

senior level.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge
of the Canadian fundraising market, including policy and fundraising
channels. - Minimum
7 years of progressive fundraising experience and demonstrated success in
major gift solicitation and stewardship (5-6 figure donations). - Understanding
of strategic planning methodologies and development tools to achieve
growth. - Proven
track record in developing, managing and achieving yearly income targets
and projections. - Ability
to cultivate effective working relationships and partnerships with a
diverse range of stakeholders including celebrities, media and major
donors. - A
self-starter with a passion for animal welfare. - Excellent
inter-personal communication skills (verbal, written, visual, public
speaking).
