ARC seeks to work
with partners, communities and displaced persons and refugees, in all the
refugee sites in Rwanda to address risk of SGBV – through prevention and
mitigation strategies and promoting resilience, and strengthening national and
community-based systems that will prevent and mitigate SGBV. The program will
also enable survivors and those at risk of SGBV to access care and support. ARC
will support local and national capacity to create lasting solutions around
SGBV.
ARC is looking for
qualified, self-driven and committed individuals to be part of and contribute
to accomplishing this NEW ambitious and exciting
project – in the position of SGBV-Protection Manager.
This position is full time, based in ARC main office Kigali/Rwanda, with
frequent travel to the field sites.
PRIMARY
PURPOSE
Key
responsibilities:
- Overall
national lead for the SGBV & Protection program, and responsible for
delivery of the program – planning, implementation, budget management,
quality control and standards, documentation and reporting. - Supports,
mentors, and supervises SGBV- Protection coordinators, who are the program
leads, in respective field sites; including performance management. - Ensures
program quality and compliance in line with international standards and
best practices. - Coordination
of program partnership, stakeholder engagement, including ensuring
effective strategies for engagement of local partners and community
members, particularly women and girls, in all aspects of design,
implementation, and monitoring in order to maintain inclusive programs,
contextual relevance, and sustainability - Reports
to Country Programmes Coordinator
Minimum
qualifications:
- Master’s
degree in Social Work, Public Health, Law or related fields (e.g. Gender
studies, Psychology) required. - 6
years’ direct experience and at least 3 years directly managing large or
national level GBV prevention and response programs in emergency and post
conflict environments required. Experience in senior GBV advisory roles
will be considered. - Solid
and clearly demonstrated project cycle, people and supply chain management
skills and experience required. - Familiarity
with effective community mobilization techniques and social change
approaches, such as Raising Voices SASA! Required. - Excellent
communication skills, with good spoken and written English required.
Computer competence.
