Across Africa is a Handicraft production and export company looking to hire a
full time dependable and motivated candidate for the position of Shipping
Logistics Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage
and categorize all product buys and organize for shipping - Oversee
buying the correct product in the correct quality and quantities as
ordered - Prepare
export products for shipment – Overseeing and co-ordinating the tagging of
products so that they are ready to go straight to market. - Keep
an updated inventory of all products in Rwanda - Ensure
that shipments and products accurately reflect what has been ordered
- Develop
an effective system for recording and counting Rwandan items - Utilise
logistics software (ERP) to optimise procedures - Bring
to the attention of the Director any important inventory information, such
as missing product or low resources. - Keep
track of delivery times, transport costs and efficiency - Follow
up with cargo company till the shipment reach destination
- Perform
related work as assigned - Prepare
accurate reports for upper management
Requirements:
- Hard
working, patient, enthusiastic and flexible - At
least 1-2 year experience in similar responsibilities - Fluent
in English and Kinyarwanda skills; speaking and writing - Being
acquainted with basic computer skills (in word and excel) - Ability
to work well under pressure - Attention
to details - Excellent
Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills - Clear
a and strong communication skills - Ability
to work independently and handle multiple projects - Must
be willing to travel to rural areas 3-4 times weekly
