Organization: Alectric Solar Inc.
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Position: The supervisor is a key team member for the successful construction
of a safe and high quality solar project. Projects will be located through out
Ontario; therefore, travel is required.
1. Pre-construction – Meet with team members (Project Manager, Engineers,
Contractors, etc.) to discuss design, engineering, procurement, and
construction details and specifications.
2. Determine resources needed (vendors, subcontractors, etc.) in order for a
successful project. Assist in developing the procurement and construction
schedule.
3. Ensure that all safety requirements and procedures are being followed.Communicate
with Subcontractors, Project Manager, Procurement/Logistics, etc. * ;
4. Provide daily/weekly reports to team members (project manager,
procurement/logistics), including but not limited to changes in the scope of
work, schedule, production, deliveries, delays, safety items, etc.
5. Manage Subcontractors, etc. to ensure adherence to construction plans and
project deadlines.
6. Perform QC/QA on all facets of the project and provide reports to the
Project Manager.Evaluate and provide performance reports to Project Manager
regarding Subcontractors, etc.
Requirements:
1. Engineering / Diploma with 2+ years of construction supervision
experience.1-2+ years of Solar experience preferred. Knowledge in construction
safety and requirements.
2. Demonstrates planning and scheduling abilities.Ability to read blue prints,
plans and specifications. Computer skills (excel, word, outlook etc.)Knowledge
of QA/QC procedures.
3. Great communication, negotiation and organizational skills; detail and
deadline oriented, with a commitment to quality.
4. Travel required.Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license. Pass a
pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
