Water Treatment Sales Manager
The successful candidate will manage an experienced team of Water Treatment chemical and technical sales professionals within a diverse marketplace consisting of clientele from major and secondary industries throughout western Canada. Responsibilities include:
* Achieve sales volume and profits consistent with company objectives.
* Leadership, coaching, training, hiring and mentoring of employees within the Water Treatment division.
* Work closely with key accounts and major contracts with our clients and their representatives.
* Formulate and recommend plans, policies, goals and objectives for the division’s sales activities to expand share in existing markets and capture new markets.
* Report directly to the VP of Sales Canada.
* Develop new products and services to meet customer demands, in collaboration with senior management, and our internal research and development team, to increase market share.
* React swiftly to opportunities that arise in the marketplace and use the division’s best resources to capitalize on them.
* Develop, manage and evaluate the division’s sales compensation to encourage employee growth and retention, while maintaining long term client relationships.
* Co-ordinate the appraisal and reporting of corporate sales plans and programs to senior management.
* Participate actively in EH&S and ISO14001:2004 requirements pertaining to your division and the overall company requirements and objectives.
Experience Required:
* Minimum 5-8 years experience related to customer chemical sales within the western Canadian industrial water treatment marketplace.
* Chemical sales management experience with a proven track record of consistently, exceeding growth and profit expectations.
* Proven technical competency in chemical and mechanical systems relating to this industry sector.
* Ability to build, motivate, coach and mentor a team of sales professionals.
* Experience in a variety of water treatment applications, with an understanding of the western Canadian market.
* Strong communication skills combined with sound computer knowledge.
* Chemistry degree.
