To achieve 80% detection of raw sputum smear of positive cases.

To have adequate knowledge of the disease.

To help in finding out new health programmes that will help in
eradication in the community.

To help families to identify the preventive health services available.

To aid isolation of the infected person from the environment to a place
where they can be given proper care.
