With strategic, exponential growth and continued success throughout the industry, a new position has been created for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Brisbane team, located in the heart of the CBD.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for steering the design of this multi-billion dollar greenfield development through the initial design, detailed design and technical support during construction. The project consists of an underground mine, process facility and the associated surface and sub surface infrastructure that encapsulates the development in Central Qld.
As the successful candidate, your background and qualifications will include:
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering complimented by strong industry experience in a ‘Senior’ capacity, mentoring and directing junior engineers
• A thorough understanding of EPCM mining/minerals project and their design requirements
• Significant experience in materials handling systems
• Knowledge of the entire project life cycle would be advantageous
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to effectively liaise with all levels of the business
• Outcome focused with excellent time management and negotiating skills
