Based in Northern Sydney LPA, Northcott’s Saturday
Kids Program and Family Support Service provide recreational and leisure
activities in flexible and fun ways, to enhance the independence, social
connection and community participation for the children who attend. Northcott
is committed to supporting a person centred approach to service delivery, and
so will ensure the individual planning processes, and daily activities, are
delivered in ways that maximise the child (and their family’s) voice, choice
and control.

We are currently seeking an experienced
Recreation Coordinator to join our Northern Sydney team. Reporting to the Area
Manager, you will be responsible for the organisation and facilitation of our
Saturday Recreation program for children with a disability, our School Holiday
Recreation program and other group programs facilitated by the service.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience
in providing service coordination - Experience
facilitating group work - Experience
in the Disability or Human Services field - Experience
providing direct supervision to staff - An
ability and commitment to working with people from Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander and non-English speaking backgrounds - Willingness
to work flexible hours which will include evenings and weekend activities - Highly
developed organisational, Ability to work efficiently under pressure with
minimum supervision - Knowledge
of NSW Disability Service Act & Standards and Relevant legislation - Current
NSW driver’s license - Current
First Aid Certificate
Desirable Criteria:
- Tertiary
qualifications in a relevant field

Salary will be in accordance with
the Northcott Enterprise Agreement. Being a not-for-profit organisation, we are
able to offer our employees a generous salary sacrificing package which will
increase your take home pay.
