Senior Regulatory Compliance and Policy Manager
JS Careers has been exclusively engaged by a global
leader across retail, corporate and institutional banking. This is a newly
created role and will be primarily responsible for providing advice and
guidance around group-wide regulatory compliance obligations.

We require
someone with extensive regulatory compliance experience, including exposure to
the regulatory obligations of ASIC, APRA and AUSTRAC.
Specific duties will be two-fold, and will include:
Regulatory compliance and policy:
- Work closely with the Head of Regulatory and
Conduct Compliance to implement, install and lead regulatory oversight
Australia wide. - Ensure appropriate policies and procedures
governing regulatory compliance and financial crime matters within
Australia are cascaded, and that there is on-going monitoring and periodic
reviews to verify that compliance risk is adequately managed. - Ensure compliance processes are implemented
and driven across the group in Australia. - Work with senior management to implement and
drive global compliance policy and work closely with compliance subject
matter experts.
Conduct compliance:
- Assist and support in the implementation of
central policy, advice, monitoring of regulatory compliance matters. - Provide compliance advice for global
businesses and global functions in Australia. - Contribute to the review of the regulatory
compliance global risk management framework to ensure it meets legislative
and regulatory requirements. - Work closely with various business units,
applying knowledge in the area of regulatory compliance. - Participate in and work with relevant industry
bodies and groups in relation to regulatory related initiatives.
Suitable candidates will possess:
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant
regulatory compliance or regulatory affairs position within a financial
institution. - Sound knowledge of ASIC, APRA and AUSTRAC
regulatory obligations. - Degree qualified in Legal, Finance or
Economics or other relevant disciplines. - Excellent communication skills with the
ability to manage stakeholders at all levels. - Attention to detail.
