Associate
Level Role with Direct Sight to Prominent Partners
This opportunity
gives you the ability to
work on complex corporate insolvencies and restructuring matters
in a manner that is well balanced between your own responsibility on files and
client management and learning from leading practitioners as a key member of a
larger team on particularly large matters. Your ability to be hands on
with files will see you
taking major control of matters that deeply affect the client’s business and
future.
The role is ideally suited to a 3-6 year
PAE lawyer with a solid background in insolvency and
restructuring. Having excellent networks with local and national
insolvency firms, as well as strong ties with major and second tier banks, the
day to day work will see the successful candidate working with insolvency
appointees including liquidators, receivers, administrators and deed
administrators as well as advising Directors of international corporates and
acting for creditors on work-outs.
The benefits of this role go
beyond remuneration, but let’s start there. The firm
attracts leading lawyers and as such are prepared to remunerate competitively.
In addition, the balance of the team is well managed and not too top
heavy, so career
growth prospects are strong, particularly when you will be
involved in marketing and client relationship efforts. And finally, the
work will be done directly under the partners, who are remunerated and assessed
partly on their ability to mentor and develop juniors, so the culture the firm
speaks about is actively followed, not simply paid lip service.
To be considered for
this role, you will most likely have significant experience with complex
insolvency matters and be able to demonstrate your handling of files involving
corporate distress. Lawyers
with broader commercial litigation experience are encouraged to apply,
as long as they can show a reasonable degree of insolvency experience, and an
interest in restructuring and insolvency as a main focus area of their
practice.
