Mechanical Engineer – Building Services - Private
consultancy – located close to public transport - $100k-$120k
package (negotiable on experience)
The Company
This privately owned
multi-discipline consultancy have been established in the Australian market for
close to 30 years. They offer an experienced working environment and flat
structure that enables their team to continue to develop as engineers both from
a technical perspective and also in the client facing aspect of the position.
They have grown organically over the years and the Mechanical department
continues to go from strength to strength under the guidance of their
technically astute leader. They are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer
with the ability to act as a design lead on projects to join the team.
The Role
Reporting to the
Mechanical section leader, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of
a wide variety of projects across the aged-care, private healthcare, residential,
commercial & industrial sectors. You will be confident in performing a
client facing role and also have a strong technical background that will
support you in developing younger engineers in the division. This role will
offer you the opportunity to lead small to medium sized projects for the group,
maintaining an existing client base through successful project delivery whilst
working as part of the team on the delivery of larger scale projects for the
group. Although business development is not a key criteria for this role, the
group will continue to look at ways of developing your skills in this area with
a mix of both internal & external training.
Suitable
Candidates
- 8+
years experience in a building services consultancy environment - Prior
design lead experience - Mechanical
Engineering degree educated - Experience
across aged-care & healthcare projects (preferred but not
essential) - Working
knowledge of Australian standards & codes - Strong
written & verbal communication skills
