Partners In Health seeks to recruit a competent and dynamic national to fill the position of a Hospitality Officer.
POSITION: Hospitality Officer
REPORTING TO: District Project Manager
LOCATION: Burera
Purpose of the Role
The Hospitality Officer is responsible for all logistics related to training planning and implementation at Butaro Hospital and Burera District supported health centers. The Hospitality Officer will work with the Training Operations Coordinator
Task and responsibilities:
• Maintain and publicize within district an up-to-date training schedule for Butaro Hospital and Burera District supported health centers;
• Oversee the logistics related to the training work-plan for the district, which includes but is not limited to printing and preparing all training materials, food and beverages; inviting participants; requisitioning money; collecting M&E tools,
• Implement all logistics related to the roll out of the MESH program, including but not limited to preparing mentorship and transportation schedules, requisitioning necessary funding, printing and preparing mentors’ tools, collecting and entering data, and other logistical tasks requested by the MESH management team;
• Work with the Burera M&E team to collect, organize and enter (where requested) all data related to Training M&E, including but not limited to pre/post tests, observation checklists, training feedback forms;
• Work closely with the District Accountant to develop a Training Center and Dormitory budget, submit necessary orders and invoices, track spending, and compile quarterly reports.
• To maintain an active inventory of training supplies at Butaro Hospital and supported health centers.
• To compile and submit training reports to the DPM, Co-Directors of DMET and the Boston Training Department on a weekly/bi-weekly and quarterly basis, including relevant M&E data.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required for the job:
• Bachelors Degree or A1 in public health, finance, Management, Education or related area;
• At least 2 years professional experience in training/hospitality;
• Interest in education, training and/or mentorship;
• Fluency in French, proficiency in English;
• Experience using MicrosoftWord, Excel, Internet Explorer;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Commitment to social justice and/or public health.
