One Acre Fund is an agricultural NGO in Kenya,
Rwanda, and Burundi that is innovating a new way of helping farm families to
achieve their full potential. One Acre invests in farmers to generate
a permanent gain in farm income. We provide farmers with a “market
bundle” that includes education, finance, seed and fertilizer, and
market access. Our program is proven impactful – every year, we weigh
thousands of harvests and measure more than 100% average gain in farm income
per acre.  We are growing quickly. In five years, we have grown to serve
over 100,000 farm families with more than 1,000 full-time field staff.
Job Description
One Acre Fund is a rapidly growing organization;
increasing the number of countries and districts we work in each year. 
We are seeking an experienced individual to take a manager position in the
organization in our Headquarters Office to help to run our finance
operations.
Primary Duties of the HQ Finance Manager
Performance Indicators (KPIs):Collect,
consolidate and distribute weekly district finance performance indicators
Revenue Reconciliation: work with HQ Bookkeeper
to ensure that all organization revenue is reconciled on a weekly basis.
Distribute weekly repayment report.
Bank Management:Collect and reconcile weekly HQ
bank statements and monthly district bank statements. Report weekly bank
balances.
Expense Requests: Collect and verify weekly
department expense requests. Help to organize bank or mobile transfers where
necessary.
Close Books: Help Finance Expat to close books
for the organization each month; including code verification; submission
check, resolving system issues.
Document Collection and Organization: Centralize
collection of necessary HQ-based financial documents including contracts,
invoices and receipts.
Annual Audit: Help with all necessary tasks required for the organization’s annual
external audit

Qualifications

sustainable agricultural development in sub-Saharan Africa.   We

  • Language: Fluent in Kinyarwanda and French
    or English
  • Passionate about serving smallholder farmers

  • Relevant work experiences. Examples include:
    demanding professional work experience in business, bank or NGO, or a
    successful entrepreneurial experience.
  • Top-performing undergraduate degree in
    finance, accounting, or other relevant fields from a recognized
    University (please include grades and test scores on your resume)
  • Leadership experience at work, or outside of
    work.  Experience managing other people.
  • Proven ability to set and meet targets on
    the job
